Horses are powerful, strong animals, yet they are sensitive enough to feel a tiny fly on their skin. As prey animals, they learned to survive by being perceptive of their surroundings, communicating nonverbally, and relying on a community. They are actually quite similar to humans. By using horses in experiential therapy, we can observe externally what we are experiencing internally. This helps us to express on the outside what we are feeling on the inside. Equine Assisted Therapy does not involve riding the horses, does not require any horse experience, and is adaptable to be more or less directive according to your needs.
